Pattern Review Butterick B5262

Pattern: Butterick B5262 View B
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Overall yes, but the cuff gave me problem the first time.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I don't like the size of the neck opening. I have to wear a scarf with these but I hope to make it again with an adjusted neckline.
Fabric Used: The pink is some cheap dollar per yard stain magnet which I highly loathe. I love the color and feel but water even stains it. The navy blue is made with the best gabardine ever made by Hancock. I love it!
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I used this as a top, not an outer coat. I used top stitching at the waist seam and it added some definition to make it look more suit-like. Also, I omitted the pockets in the design.
Would you sew it again? For sure. The covered buttons make this a great work suit for me.
Would you recommend it to others? I would definitely recommend the pattern. Conclusion: Great fitting garment. I made the pink in the summer of 2011 and the blue in February of 2012 and wear them a lot. The dolman sleeves make it an easy sew and fit.

I have that same pattern. I was just sitting here trying to line up my sewing queue, and after seeing your post, I will make this my first 2013 project. I see what you mean about the neckline-will use my sloper to bring it up a little. Love those covered buttons! They take the project to designer status. Thanks for posting this review.
