I think as a nation, we're obsessed with the concept of more.
Most people could use ''more'' money, ''more'' time or ''more'' stuff in their life.
But last year, I realized that it doesn't take much to really ''change'' your life.
My life was forever changed when my husband gave me $10,000 to start ''a business''. I didn't have a plan, just a shared vision. We envisioned having a family owned business that provided enough income for us to both work there and to create good paying jobs within the Black community.
A glimpse into the life and mind of a "Black American Muslim woman" who cannot be totally defined by any combination of those four words.

Womens Work Wednesday - Getting it together
I love order and rules.
Give me a rule, that makes sense, and I will follow it.
I realized around September that I had a lot of goals and no clear path to completion. I felt that I could get more out of my day than I was, but felt helpless to fix it all.
So what did I do? I googled ''[my city] + life coach''.
I looked at websites of the first few and after three, I went right back to the first one.
My coach is a sister who I didn't know but, when I put her name into Facebook, we knew many of the same people. I loved her website and the fact that her program is called ''Get Shit Done''. A cussing woman, is my kind of woman (sad to say LOL).

Today
Today is January 5, 2015
Today I really miss journaling and blogging. For me, journaling is more personal and hand written in a book using a pencil. Blogging is visual. It's words and pictures completing a thought.
Today I decided that I'm taking this blog on my journey to reboot my life. A return to all the things I love and that make me happy.
A return to my solitary lifestyle that I find quite peaceful and fulfilling.
I'm still a Muslim wife and mother, who is a writer, entrepreneur and radio show host who likes to cook, sew and create. I still love to laugh daily and read novels about people who I'd love to meet if they were real. I still have the attention span of a gnat and switch focus often but like a homing pigeon I always come back to those people and things that I love the most.
I missed you dear blog and blog readers. I hope to reconnect and meet more of you this year through the web.
